Privacy Policy
This policy explains the information Stock Analysis Desk processes, why it is used, and the choices available to users of the public research beta.
Information collected
Stock Analysis Desk is currently intended for U.S. residents using the service from the United States. It processes account details such as email address, password hash, name if provided, role, U.S.-residency confirmation, terms-acceptance record, and account timestamps. It may process portfolios, paper positions, watchlists, journal entries, alerts, research inputs, feature usage, security events, and technical request information. Legacy beta request records may also be retained where previously submitted.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate users, isolate personal records, provide research features, operate and secure the service, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, maintain evidence and model-quality records, and comply with legal obligations.
Storage and service providers
Data is hosted using Railway and may pass through configured market-data, news, filing, analytics, or infrastructure providers when needed to answer a request. Do not enter brokerage passwords, government identifiers, payment-card data, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Cookies, local storage, and advertising
The current beta uses an HttpOnly account-session cookie for browser authentication and may use browser local storage for interface preferences, research drafts, attribution, and analytics opt-out state. If advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this site or other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. Users can opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings and may also use industry opt-out tools such as aboutads.info where available. Google explains how it uses data from partner sites at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Ad and analytics partners
Stock Analysis Desk uses Google Analytics to measure page visits and a limited set of product-funnel actions, such as viewing the public sample, starting registration, saving a research note, or beginning paper tracking. Analytics events may include the page path, link placement, destination, and technical request information. They do not include ticker symbols, thesis text, research notes, questions, portfolio values, profit or loss, email addresses, or brokerage credentials. Google signals and ad-personalization signals are disabled for analytics. Google and any advertising providers process information under their own policies.
Retention and security
Records are retained while needed for the service, research integrity, security, backups, and legal obligations. Reasonable technical safeguards are used, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security or permanent availability.
Your choices
You may request access, correction, or deletion by contacting the site operator. Some records may be retained when required for security, legal compliance, dispute handling, or integrity of aggregated research.
Children
Stock Analysis Desk is not directed to children and should not be used by anyone who cannot legally agree to the Terms of Use.
Changes and contact
Changes will be posted with a revised effective date. Privacy or account requests should be sent to the site operator.
